🚀
In August 2025, we reached a moment that’s hard to describe without a lump in our throats.
We shipped the first Alpha unit of our Biograph system.
It’s not much to look at—just a humble cardboard box taped shut on a worn worktable. But inside that box is something deeply personal, incredibly ambitious, and powered by a dream: a device designed to ease isolation, preserve life stories, and help people living with memory loss, Alzheimer’s, or brain trauma feel more connected—both to themselves and to the people who love them.
🌱 It Started As Just a Concept
We had this vision:
What if an AI could listen to you—not just respond—but really listen, and remember?
What if it could gather your stories, one by one, from you and those around you, and preserve them—not in dusty notebooks, but in a living, dynamic biography you can see and hear?
And what if it could do all that with no confusing menus, no frustrating software, just your voice, your photos, and your memories?
That’s how Biograph was born. A beautiful device with dual touchscreens that opens like a book—ready to show old photos, start warm conversations, and create something timeless: your story.
🚀 Alpha: A Humble Beginning
Look at the image above. You’ll see a simple shipping box. But above it—two rockets:
- On the left, SpaceX’s Starhopper, its very first prototype, lifting off with cautious hope.
- On the right, the Starship—the largest rocket ever made—now poised to take people to Mars.
We know we're not launching rockets.
We’re not building engines to escape Earth’s gravity.
But we are building something to lift people out of isolation, to counteract the forces of loneliness and forgetting, and to preserve the legacies that deserve to be remembered.
This first Biograph Alpha unit is going to a tester in California. It’s one of many that will follow, and it represents the first real-world hands-on interaction with a product that just a year ago only existed in sketches and dreams.
And yes—we said we wanted to get to Alpha in a year, and we did.
🧠What Biograph Will Become
Biograph is just the first in a family of assistive technologies we’re developing. The Alpha is designed to help people tell their story.
But the Beta will do even more.
We’re working toward:
- Memory aids that help individuals manage daily life with Alzheimer's or TBI.
- Interactive caregiver tools that provide reminders and reinforce familiarity.
- Emotional engagement systems that adapt and respond with empathy.
Biograph is not about monetization. It’s not about hype.
It’s about serving people who have been forgotten far too long.
❤️ Built With Purpose
Our team is made of people who’ve seen memory loss up close.
We’ve watched loved ones fade, piece by piece.
We’ve seen the fear in someone’s eyes when they can’t recall their own child’s name.
We’ve seen the crushing silence of isolation.
That’s why we don’t give up.
And it’s why this cardboard box matters so much.
Inside it is more than just software and electronics.
There’s a whole year of design, development, breakthroughs, setbacks, and hard-won progress.
There’s blood, sweat, and tears in that box.
And there’s hope.
🌌 From Alpha to Beta—and Beyond
The road to Beta will be harder. More feedback, more iterations, more complexity.
But it will be even more meaningful—because every step takes us closer to something real:
A world where no one has to feel alone just because their memory is fading.
A world where every story gets told, even the quiet ones.
We’re proud.
We’re humbled.
And we’re just getting started.
🛰️ Biograph Alpha is lifting off.
Stay with us—we’re going somewhere that matters.
